OSU Starts Practice, Tarver Breaks Foot

The OSU Men’s basketball team started practice yesterday, and freshman guard Josh Tarver came down with a broken foot on Thursday during workouts. He is expected to be out for 6 weeks.
“We were doing a fast-break drill and I was doing a crossover move,” Tarver said. “I planted hard and felt some pain. I didn’t know it was broken until they did the x-rays. It’s the first time I’ve been injured in my life. It’s frustrating to see everyone out there and know that I can’t play.
Josh is expected to start at point guard next year after playing behind senior point guards Lamar Hurd and Jason Fontenet.
The Beavers started practice yesterday, and their first exibition game is November 10 against Southern Oregon.
